The organization is not very old but has a great consequence in its work profile. In the year 1976 the primary functions of the Sangha was to worship Bharatmata and conducting cultural programmes which continued till the date. In the year 1981 the next generation youth felt the need of a voluntary organization which can play as a pivot for the development of the village community as a whole.
At that very time the people this small village Jararnagar under Khejuri – I Block of Bengal was also rolled on in that wave. At that time some noble person, educated youths and freedom fighter established a Sangha to worship Bharatmata (an embodiment of India). Finally the Sangha became a main cultural centre in northern Khejuri and subsequently social reformers and strong personalities joined for a Nobel purpose and formed as association locally named as Sangha.
Thus the Sangha was renamed as Jararnagar Deshapran Tarun Sangha in the name of Deshapran Birendranath Sasmal, freedom fighter of Bengal and it was registered under West Bengal Society Registration Act as a voluntary organization. Later the institution became a pioneer socio-development organization in Khejuri Block and always trying for the betterment of all categories of people with a special emphasis on women and child development & rural development.
